Milk-Based Coffee

A step up from black coffee is adding milk to it. Many times milk-based coffees use shots of espresso, which makes them a bit more difficult to replicate at home

Lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and flat white are all considered milk-based coffee. You’ll find that these tend to be coffee drinks with foaming milk in them.

These are typically the most popular coffee drinks when you go to a local coffee shop.

Non-Traditional

There are plenty more different types of coffee roasts and blends. That’s why we’ve included them in our non-traditional category.

For example, you can also get a high-caffeine coffee as the demand for caffeine is high. Many coffee shops call this the nitro blend. You’ll find that the serving size for this type of coffee is very small, and most shops will only give you a small portion.

Another type of coffee is Irish coffee. Irish Coffee is made with hot coffee, sugar, and whiskey. Most people will view this type of beverage as a cocktail, yet it is a delicious coffee-based treat.

There is one type of coffee drink we can’t forget, and that is cold brew. Cold brew is made by soaking coffee grounds in room temperature water for over twenty-four hours. It can be a delicate process.

You’ll find that iced coffee and cold brew have a huge difference. A cold brew tends to be much smoother because there isn’t any hot water involved. That means it is much less acidic.
