Everything you need to know about Seasoning Sauces 

The outside or restaurant foods are mouth-watering in comparison to homemade food items. At our homes, we usually use homemade seasoning or seasoning spices that can enhance the flavors of the food. Using seasoning is important to make the good better but using the right seasoning product is the best way to make the best food at home also. Always remember, the foods at the restaurants or hotels have a close relationship with the seasoning spices and sauces. 

As already discussed, you can use the seasoning spices in your kitchen but you can also pick the readymade aromatic seasoning sauces that have the power to make the food better. There are several bigger brands which deal in the seasoning sauce (ซอสปรุงรส, which is the term in Thai) and you can pick any genuine or well-known brand. 

Without getting into details, let us discuss some of the common seasoning spices and sauces that you can find in the market. 


It is one of the most commonly found seasoning a spice that you can use in your kitchen. Almost every dish consists of salt and it is used to make the flavors better. It helps remove the bad of our and flavor from the meat and fish. It also helps in sterilizing the food. 

Soy Sauce: 

It is another important seasoning sauce that comes in liquid form. It has a close connection with Chinese and Italian foods. It is composed of wheat bran, wheat, and soybeans. While frying the food, the soy sauce is added. It is available in light and dark forms. The dark form is used to enhance the color of the dishes such as meat. On the other hand, light soy sauce is used as a dipping sauce. 

Oyster Sauce:

As the name suggests, the oyster is the main component of this sauce. Apart from it, it has water, wheat flour, soy sauce, sugar, and other support agents. Sugar component makes this sauce, a sweet and salty sauce. If you are looking for a vegetarian version of this sauce, you can replace the oyster with the mushroom extract. 

Chili Sauce: 

As the name suggests, this sauce is made up of chilies. Additionally, it is composed of peppercorns, vinegar, garlic, ginger, etc. Some people also call it a ‘chili paste’. 

Additionally, you can find the seasoning sauces which can be used for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items like Maggi seasoning sauce.
